Growing up in Connecticut, you would think that I would be down for all the cold weather activities. That is a big no for me- still!! However, because I need to take one for the team, I have made every effort to get to the snow annually for the sake of the kids.
Ben had a few days off right before Christmas. Last minute, we decided to pack up the kids, the dogs and all of our gear for a mini getaway to Lake Tahoe. We stayed in the cutest hotel that was PERFECT for the 7 of us. We found a good dog park right away, which was key for the 2 wild labs! We realized right away that many places were closed, but we still managed to go tubing, ice skating and build snow men in the snow!!
I was determined this trip to dress appropriately for the occasion! Luckily, while they were tubing and making snow men, I was the photographer- but at least I was warm!! This Sweaty Betty set from Nordstrom is the perfect under-layer for the snow. I also cannot stress enough the importance of the proper footwear. Sorel has it down… my feet did not get cold for one second!! I was warm, I was cute, I was happy!!! The 3 days in Lake Tahoe were an absolute success!!!
