Ok so I know this might sound cheesy, but TEAMride has been an answer to prayer for me. I had been on the hunt for challenging fitness classes since the beginning of the year. I started a bootcamp at my gym that had been kicking my butt, but I needed something else to mix things up and keep me motivated during the week! My good friend Kachet told me about Team Ride and the Folsom location. She said I HAD to check it out and boy was she right.
TEAMride was started back in December of 2012 by 4 sisters that decided to create not only a business together but a community that would turn out to be something really unique and special in the Sacramento area. They have 3 locations ( East Sacramento, Midtown & Folsom) that are open 7 days a week and truth be told, if my schedule allowed, I would be there every day! Gosh, these ladies are KILLING it!
A TEAMride cycling class is not like your ordinary spinning class. Imagine a full body workout on a bike! It is NO joke! Push ups on the bike, weight lighting while pedaling, riding in and out of the saddle while doing some claps there in between! The music is always pumping at just the right level, with the perfect mix of songs to get you through your workout. My FAVORITE part… the words that are spoken. Each instructor has their way of getting you through a hard workout with statements of motivation to push through that moment but also simultaneously encouraging you on LIFE. Each and every instructor could be a motivational speaker! I am easily moved so take this with a grain of salt, but I have not left a class being majorly touched and even shedding a tear because I felt SO encouraged!! Can you tell me many fitness classes that give you those feels!?
After we break a serious sweat and go to lengths and depths we didn’t think we could go physically, we stretch. This is such a great way to end the workout. Then one of the amazing workers hand out ice cold washcloths that is the most soothing thing after really giving it your all! I wish I could do that kind of exercise. My doctor does not recommend it for me so I can only have walking or swimming as my exercise. That sure looks like a nice studio. I will have to let my daughter know about this. She’s trying to lose some weight and stay fit.
