Last month, my girls and I, Kachet and Melinda, decided to spend the day in the city. The purpose was to shoot with the amazing Rachel Radcliffe Photography, sight see and eat good food. We did all of the above. I LOVE the city. It ended up being triple digit weather here in Sacramento, so heading to the Bay was the best idea!
SO, first things first… COFFEE…. do you guys know that I have this thing with coffee shops?!?! I am obsessed. I am always on the hunt for cool spots with yummy almond milk lattes! Plus I am a 3 cup a day kinda girl!! We visited Wrecking Ball Coffee Roasters and it was so good!!! The lattes were bomb, I am in LOVE with this pineapple wall paper and we sat there for almost an hour talking to the baristas! Must visit y’all!
As I mentioned, we had arranged a shoot with Rachel and it was so much fun! We shot in Cow Hallow, Pacific Heights and right by the Lyon Steps! We shot 3 looks toal. We did one look together and then two individual looks!! If you are looking to shoot with someone in SF, Rachel is your girl. She is SO sweet, creative and talented!!
After our shoot we were STARVING!!! Lucky for Melinda and I, Kachet lived in the city in the past and knew some good places to eat. In all honesty our decision was based on the ability to find parking! We found parking right by Delarosa Restaurant! Ok, I am not exaggerating, but y’all have to go here. They serve Roman style pizza, which is to DIE FOR!! The apps were delish and so were the drinks… you can tell the chef took time with these recipes! SO GOOD!! I love the set up inside, you can see a bit of the decor in the picks below!
WHAT TO SEE
Here are those beautiful Painted Ladies! The homes from my childhood show “Full House.” It is SO weird that my kids now watch “Fuller House” but any way lol! This particular day was so beautiful everyone had brought their blankets, picnics and guitars and were laid out on the lawn in front of the Painted Ladies. We were SO bummed that we forgot our blankets. It was literally the perfect day to just lay there and take everything in. Also, try getting a picture of these bad boys without 5,000 people blocking your view! An act of God LOL!
I highly suggest dinner at the Cliff House. It is literally seated on a cliff right by Ocean Beach. You can wait for seats by the window which yield the most breathtaking view! Sunset here is magic! I mean MAGIC! It is SO beautiful my words do not do it justice. Besides being right on the water for a meal, the food was to die for!! We got a seafood pasta with a few delicious apps and some clam chowder! Ridiculously good! Let me warn you that parking is always an issue, but don’t give up! Circle around, people are always leaving!! You could even do Ocean Beach first and then walk up for dinner!
Short and sweet, but easy to do in 12 hours! I can’t wait to go back to the Bay Area! The temps right now in Sacramento are brutal! This is the start of my travel series! I have a lot more fun posts coming your way! Next up is Las Vegas and where to stay! Thank you as always for reading the blog!
