{ Spring time look with an edge }

This is our second “winter” in California and all I can think is “Why didn’t we move here sooner!” Being born in Jamaica, this weather has me swooning, and super excited for the summer. I was born for this 70 degree bliss. Downside: it seems that there is no actual “off” season and I am noticing people pool-side at the gym already! I am by no means ready for the beach or pool! I, however, have been stepping up my gym game big time these past few months in attempts to at least feel pretty good this summer! At the same time, it is extremely difficult not to focus on outward appearance, weight and image. In addition to hitting the gym and working on my eating habits, I have been making a conscious effort to not look at a scale and be all consumed by weight etc. But rather focusing on feeling good and being healthy! Again, this is hard when you take pictures often for a blog and society says otherwise. This is a daily fight.  I am sure many women can relate! I think it is important to focus on what you have going for you and to count yourself fortunate for what makes you different. I have been blessed with curves and I am learning how to celebrate that.

Below is another outfit that Katie Torwalt styled for me on our shopping day. I LOVE jump suits, and I cannot have enough! I am short and I feel like they give me a little more leg and I find jumpsuits to be very flattering to my shape. I also love black so this was perfect for me! Believe it or not, I do not own a blazer so this soft pink one was a must-have. Katie calls this a spring time evening look with an edge! I love it! What do you guys think about jumpsuits?
