For the past 5 years my friends and I have gathered around this time of year for an annual Friendsgiving. It started out as a progressive dinner where we would start at one house for apps and then go to another home for the next course of the meal. We would end at our last spot for dessert! You get the idea.

This year we decided to switch things up! All 10 of us are extremely busy with new homes, new babies, new jobs and busy family lives! We needed to get together, but wanted to keep things extra simple. My dear friend Deborah, who is the BEST host, offered to host this year. She decorates like no other as you can see from the pictures here and her space is really cozy. All of our festivities would be here.

For food, this requires the most planning. We ordered all of our food from Nugget Markets. What is amazing about Nugget Markets is that all ordering can be done online, but if you have any questions or concerns about options or the menu you can easily hop on a call with them and they are always super helpful and kind. The on the phone experience is just as lovely as the in-store experience. We went with the traditional menu (full details below) but there are SO many options to choose from to ensure you are getting everything you truly love in a holiday meal!

I picked up the meal that came in a nice sized compact box the day before our Friendsgiving and brought it over to Deborah’s house. Everything was labeled in containers and there was a very simple yet informative sheet explaining the heating instructions for each item. Nothing required more than 25-30 min for heating with the exception of the turkey! Even that took only 60 min to heat. Knowing ahead of time what was needed for the entire meal made it easy for Deb and I to get everything ready the day of!

I don’t know about you, but I prefer entertaining over cooking any day of the week. I do not enjoy being in the kitchen at all. Nuggets holiday meals are an answer to prayer for me! Oh, I am all about the cooking! I do like the entertaining part as well, but I usually leave that to my husband so I can do all the fun cool stuff.

I love to cook and entertain, but sometimes it’s nice to not have to plan a menu. After all, the best part of any party is spending time with friends.
