I have this thing with floral prints, but then I also have this thing with gingham.  I love the bold checkered patterns and the cotton materials most associated with this design.  It feels timeless but right now, completely on trend.   This is one of those things that I love about fashion.  It always comes back around.  Gingham goes back to the 17th century.  It started as a striped pattern but later transformed into a checked pattern.  The more common colors back then for were blue/white and red/white.  I actually really prefer the look of the black and white pictured above!
