My blogger sister, Kachet and I have been dreaming up a local gathering with fellow bloggers in the Sacramento area for the past year. The opportunity never presented itself until the idea of a Galentine’s Day came up over brunch and coffee one morning. Last week we had the privilege of being hosted by Hock Farm, a local restaurant here in Sacramento for small bites and amazing drinks to sample for their Valentine’s day menu. From start to finish, this experience was a BLAST! It was one of those days, that I really just needed a girls night out! So much fun!
This was my very first time visiting Hock Farm! I always love checking out new places to eat in Sacramento. I feel like this city is a gold mine for good food! Hock Farm did not disappoint. I sampled a few of their desserts and drinks that will be on next week’s Valentine’s day menu! ALL of it was AMAZING! My favorite dessert, that you will see below was the sticky toffee pudding… I could have had 6 of those!! My favorite drink was the Old Fashioned Banana cocktail. Doesn’t that just sound good!?! In between drinks and dessert I had their bacon mac and cheese as well as their garlic fries, because lets be honest… if you’re going to have a cheat meal, do it the right way!! LOL… SO GOOD!!!

Sticky Toffee Pudding
Pear, bourbon caramel, ginger ice cream
Griffo dry gin, creme de cacao, wildflower honey, fresh lemon – served up with a spiced strawberry-sugar rim

I am really looking forward to taking Ben here in the very new future!! We are in the middle of a 40 day fast with our church, otherwise we would be there NEXT week!! I am already dreaming of our reservation in March!! For my local friends that have not yet decided on a place to take their special someone, I can tell you from my honest, personal experience that Hock Farm is a great choice! I didn’t mention this earlier in the post, but the service was impeccable and the vibe was so chill and relaxing!! The full Valentine’s Day menu can be found here.
