We’ve been living in triple-digit heat lately, so the whole fam is ready to cool things off and swap their summer wardrobe for fall layers. It doesn’t snow here, but we do have a rainy season coming up, so layering becomes really practical with running the kids here, there and everywhere!
Fall is one of my absolute favorite seasons to style for, so I’m excited to be shopping this year’s trends! Head to toe, I found everything at Nordstrom. The simplicity of shopping with my Nordstrom credit card, racking up points, earning Notes and making easy free returns makes being part of The Nordy Club such a great experience.
My MO with styling in general is to mix classic staples with more affordable trendy pieces. The snakeskin print and midi skirts (especially satin or pleated skirts) are both really popular this season! They add a fun edge to this timeless crewneck sweater and suede boots. In my opinion, investing in items like this are always well worth the money because I’ll wear them for years to come!
Combining a variety of likeminded shades (brown, camel, rust, etc.) and also mixing a variety of fabrics (suede, satin, snakeskin, etc.) creates a modern and chic touch to your look. Pro tip if you have family photos coming up…the deep, warm tones photograph beautifully!
