Clearing Teachers’ Back To School Wishlists

July 18, 2022 By Ruthie Ridley 2 Comments

Teachers are heroes! They are the shapers of our children’s future! I believe that they are under funded and often times lack many of the resources that they need to do their jobs! I’ve compiled a list of teacher Amazon wishlists from my community! Click on any below and let’s help them clear their lists!

Miss Lloyd’s Classroom Wishlist: “I am starting my first year teaching kindergarten and 1st grade art!!”

SDS Classroom Wishlist: “I teach at low income school in a moderate/severe disabilities classroom. My classroom is the furthest from a “one size fits all” method of teaching, which requires a lot of extra resources outside of the standard curriculum and classroom design.”

Megan’s Classroom Wishlist: This is Megan’s first classroom. She teaches 6th grade Math and Science!”

Webb Classroom Wishlist: “I am a kindergarten teacher serving at a Christian school!”

Miss Heath’s Classroom Wishlist: Miss Heath teaches 3rd grade in Las Vegas.

Malulu’s Classroom Wishlist: 4th grade teacher in California

Miss Lee’s Classroom Wishlist: “These are some items I could really use in my music room! Thank you for checking it out!”

Caitlin’s Classroom Wishlist: “Hello, I am a 2nd grade teacher at a urban school in West Philadelphia. I have created this wishlist in hopes to get some supplies to help with fun and engaging learning but also picked materials that will meet the needs of every child. I know anything given will truly brighten their day and they as well as myself will be forever grateful.”

Elsa’s Classroom Wishlist: “Hello, I am a headstart teacher trying to expand my library. The group of children that I work for have a very limited books.”

Karis’ Classroom Wishlist: Karis is a reading and writing 6th grade teacher in Arizona.

Mrs. Finnegan’s Classroom Wishlist: “I am a special education teacher in a low income city outside of Boston, MA. These are some of the items that I will use to help my students have a fun, fantastic year.”

Mrs. Gilley’s Classroom Wishlist: “I teach in a small, rural, low socioeconomic school district. I love to integrate STEM activities in my teaching to enrich the learning for my students.”

Preschool Teacher Wishlist 💚💗🖍

Mrs. Cortez’s Classroom Wishlist: “This is my 13th year teaching and I could not be more humbled that you’re here! I love fostering relationships with my students throughout the year and being able to provide materials that will assist in their learning and provide a sense of “second home” in our classroom will be much appreciated!”

Kenia’s Classroom Wishlist

Joy’s Classroom Wishlist: Joy is a special education TK-2nd grade teacher in California.

Mrs. Drake’s Classroom Wishlist: “These items will be used in a high school English classroom in central Virginia. These are some nice to haves and a few consumables we would like to have this year.”

Moorel’s Classroom Wishlist: Moorel is an 8th grade Science teacher in Texas.

Miss Sherman’s Classroom Wishlist: “This will be my first year teaching. I am teaching kindergarten and cannot wait to get started! Thank you so much for anything that you do for my students this year!”

Kia’s Classroom Wishlist: “My name is Kia Gregory and I am going into my sixth year of teaching 6th grade in a small town an hour south of Sacramento, CA! Starting from scratch again in a new room and I can’t wait for the new year to start! Thank you for your generosity!”

Mrs. Robert’s Classroom Wishlist: “Going back into the classroom and need some items for my NEW first graders.”

Annabelle’s Classroom Wishlist: “Hi I’m Annabelle and I will be starting my first year teaching this year. I will be teaching Kindergarten in Indianapolis, Indiana.”

Alicia’s Classroom Wishlist: I am a third year teacher in Orange County, CA. I teach Kindergarten Spanish Dual immersion in a very low income community in Santa Ana. My students are the sweetest and are so resilient. The families I work with are doing the best they can with what they’ve got. I like to help educate the parents and find donations to meet the needs of my students.”

Classroom Wishlist: “Hello! After setting up my classroom I have compiled a list of things that my students and I would benefit from this upcoming school year. Some are big wishes, some are things that we need to survive middle school every day. Anything at all helps and I so appreciate it! Feel free to share if you feel comfortable doing so.”

Sarah Ann’s Classroom Wishlist: Sarah Ann is a special education teacher.

Ashley’s Classroom Wishlist: “Hello, I’m Ashley Johnson. I have been teaching for eight years, and all those years have been 4th grade math at a Title I school in Pinson, Alabama. About 85% of my students qualify for free and reduced lunches, almost all of them struggle to bring their own supplies. Some of the things on the list are also to add more diversity in my classroom library, but also about my favorite subject: math! I want my students to see themselves in the books.

Carter’s Classroom Wishlist: “I am so excited for my second year of teaching. Any donation would be a great help in building my second grade library and filling supply needs.”

I honestly went back and forth on sharing this but I honestly went back and forth on sharing this but why not 🤪. I left the worst ones out 😅

Online hate is wild to me. People behind a screen saying whatever they want not realizing it actually affects real people.

I posted a simple cute video of Ben and I going from regular clothes to our work uniforms. it went viral, which is a chance you take so I got a lot of love which I’m thankful for but a lot of hate as well.. these were all strangers, people who don’t know that we’ve been married almost 18 years, have a beautiful family, genuinely love each other, and love what we do and the people we serve 👮‍♂️ 👩🏾‍⚕️ 🩺

You expect it to some extent but I didn’t realize how much words could still affect me…I’m 41 almost 42. It really doesn’t matter how old you are words still hit.

I’m not sharing this for sympathy just a reminder before you leave a mean comment on someone’s page whether it’s a stranger, someone you know, or someone with a big platform think twice. Words matter & they impact people more than you think.

And don’t worry I got a new wig this week 😝💀🤣

This time last year I was unexpectedly renewing my This time last year I was unexpectedly renewing my Nursing 🩺👩🏾‍⚕️ license after leaving my job in 2020 and spending five years at home with my kids creating content full time. To say I was shocked to be reentering the workforce is an understatement. Sometimes life shifts and you just have to roll with it 😮‍💨

I am SO thankful I had the opportunity to go back to work but it was hard. I felt like I failed in my business & I was down BAD 😝 But I realized something….God makes NO MISTAKES.

I LOVE my current job & I STILL get to create content, but now it feels more authentic and true to who I am😌

I am dancing because I can & because I am thankful. Your life can change SO much in a year, overnight or In a MOMENT. Trust God with your life. He will NEVER let you down 🤍
The Cop 👮‍♂️/ Nurse 👩🏾‍⚕️Comb The Cop 👮‍♂️/ Nurse 👩🏾‍⚕️Combo😝!!! You already know life is crazy, there is no “work-life balance” & we have stories to exchange for dayyys!!!

If you’re new here, then I’ll give you a little bit of a backstory but also if you’ve been here for a while because a lot has changed in the last year 🤪.

I became a nurse at 19 after graduating high school early, raised in a very purpose driven Jamaican home. Nursing was never just a job for me. It was provision, connection, and a way to serve people from all walks of life.

In 2020, I stepped away from nursing to pursue content creation full time, and it truly felt like a dream!!! The biggest blessing was the time it gave me with my family. Being present, raising my kids, and soaking in every moment 🥲

Then almost exactly a year ago, May 15, God called me back to nursing, and I couldn’t believe it. The transition was not easy, but it has been one of the greatest blessings. My heart is so full, and I have never felt more aligned in what I do.

God knows what He is doing. He makes no mistakes 🤍 Where are my nurses, law enforcement, and first responders at 🙋🏾‍♀️

Just stopping your scroll this evening to say GOD Just stopping your scroll this evening to say GOD IS GREAT. There are seasons where God takes years and decades to answer prayers (and I’m still waiting for some of those) and then there’s the moments where God answers your prayers hours or a day later. He’s amazing in the suddenly and he’s amazing in the waiting. Thankful for the journey✨Thankful for his faithfulness - thankful that even as I wait - He is still good😌

The way she spoke about healing, freedom, and using your own story to create change was both powerful and deeply moving. Her journey is a reminder that what we walk through doesn’t have to define us — but it can shape the way we serve others.
