Ben and I have definitely put fitness at the top of the priority list for our family. We were both extremely active growing up and want our children to be active in sports as well. Ben went to school to be a PE teacher, so his PE teaching tendencies often come out while teaching the kids and myself different exercises, workouts and games! You’ll see him in action a little below.
Fitness + Family
Ava, my eldest has been playing soccer since she was 3 and is now on a competitive team. She plays anywhere from 2-3 times per week and absolutely loves it. Her next venture is basketball which she is eagerly awaiting to get started. Savannah (5) our second child has a big love for Acro and Gymnastics. She is so strong it is crazy. I try to imitate some of the things she does and I end up making an absolute fool of my self! Her and Judah (4) will begin soccer this fall as well. Our lives are about to be (more) insane! Professional Taxi Driver here we come!
Ben plays soccer weekly and played rugby all the time until he got one too many concussions and I made him quit! I played soccer growing up but no longer play like the hubs! I am an avid-gym goer and love a good run, lift, spin class and boot camp! I try to exercise 4-5 times per week. Ben and I try hard to be an example to the kids with physical fitness. Often times the kids would rather work out with us in the gym as opposed to going into the child care! Most weekends are spent on trails with our newest addition. We love a good hike and a nice long walk, having a dog has forced us to get outdoors so much more. Times like those are so special to me.
