Sounds like such a good site! I hate giving my kids phones, but it seems like in this day and age they need one. My youngest doesn’t have one yet-but I will check out this site when it’s time for him to get one.

Thankfully, since we homeschool, we don’t need to worry too much about phones for both kids. They just have an older model iphone to use for emergencies.
Great tips! We are not ready for cell phones yet, but I will keep this in mind for when the time comes.

its not going to be long before my daughter would need a phone when she heads to middle school in a year’s time, so reading your post has got me ready and prepared for when she does need one.
It’s always A struggle to figure out what to do with a little one and a cell phone. Right now we’re keeping his contact with one minimal, but know that someday he’s going to need one for emergencies. This looks like a great option for when he gets older.
This has to be a pretty big decision. I don’t have children but am amazed at how young I see kids with phones now. It’s yet another decision for parents (when, how, what).

People always look at me strange when i tell them that i got my first phone when i was 9 (im 22 now). I was a lock-key child, meaning i let myself in after school while my parents were still at work, so me having a cellphone was for emergencies and stuff like that.
My son is just a toddler right now so I wonder how it will be when he starts going to school. I want to set certain boundaries on cell phones too!
