{ San Fran }

Ben and I have not had a true getaway since moving to CA, so we were long overdue! We absolutely love the city and when living in CT, would often visit NYC for the day.  So San Fran it was. We had some amazing friends of the family who volunteered to take our 3 littles for the majority of the time, which made leaving that much easier!  Our trip was brief, but as you will see in the pics below, it was full! Let me give you a brief break down of our mini San Fran adventure. 

 We stayed at the Hilton hotel in the financial district. We were on the 16^th floor of the hotel, overlooking the entire city and Pacific Ocean. I felt so blessed to be able to be up that high and stay in that gorgeous room. We got upgraded at the last minute while checking in! Such a nice surprise. 

 Ben made reservations at a French restaurant called “Bouche”. You know it’s a popular place when the earliest reservation we could get was for 930pm!! Although our reservations were for 930, we didn’t get seated til 1015 or so. Having said that, it was worth the wait. The restaurant is tight, but I loved the feel. I felt like went to France for the night. Everyone taking care of us was French. I couldn’t pronounce a thing on the menu, but everything I tried was superb. I urge you to look into this restaurant and give it a try!! Just make your reservations a week out and before 8pm!! If you want you can check out their amazing menu here!

The following morning we woke up bright and early for brunch, but not as early as we would have if we were with the kids! We were up and at em for 9 am. Ben said dress comfy because we would be doing lots of walking, so here’s my attempt at comfy/cute!

 We had done some research on brunch!! I love brunch and it just might be my favorite meal of the day so I was really looking forward to it! We walked about a mile and got to this highly recommended spot. Of course the line was wrapped around the building but it was worth the wait!!

   As you can see I got the eggs Benedict without the English muffin. Ben got crepes and a ham and egg croissant. Delish!!

After brunch I needed some real coffee so we did a search for Starbucks and went on some exploring! We spent a ton of time in Union Square and in the fashion district doing some exploring and maybe a pinch of shopping :D.

This guy was tearing up some amazing tap moves!!! So entertaining!!!

A pit stop because at this point I think we had walked 5 miles ?.

We finally headed to the car and decided to head to the beach for lunch. We ate here. Wow…. The food and the view was incredible. Not to mention the impeccable service. I was majorly impressed. I got a kale salad and Ben just a nice New England clam chowder with some garlic fries. Yummy!!!

  

After the beach it was time to head home!! What a full, yet relaxing day!! Next time we will stay another day and head over to Alcatraz! Hope you’re all having a fabulous week!!
