Right before bed in the evenings is the time of day that we all get to be together. Ben typically gets off of work around 730 pm. When he gets home he grabs a few quick bites of dinner and then we all gather in the kids room, share our favorite parts of our day and read a story. This year has been fun with reading and imagination. Both of the girls can now read and are literally fighting over turns to read through books! We had a good time reading through the first book of Narnia. Now we are making our way through 20+ books that we recently took out at the library. I love it so much. We love being together at this part of the day, even if it is for a brief period of time and I love that everyone’s imaginations are being stretched and that we are all learning something new every single day! Do you read together as a family before bed, or did you do so as a child? I think it is such a special time.
So, did you peep our new rug?!!? Friends, I am trying desperately to decorate each room in our house bit by bit. As I had mentioned before, home decor is not my strong point. Nothing about it comes naturally to me, but I am giving it my best shot!! This rug is so me, and the kids love it!! I don’t know why but I am always drawn to bright, loud and lots of color and as you can see, this rug is all of that!! This rug is from Rugs USA. It is called the Albina Prismatic Honeycomb rug. It is rectangular in shape and is a 5X8 in size. It literally fits the kids room perfectly!! What do you think of the curtain we put up!? I don’t know much about decorating a room but I do know that from a simple rug you can draw major inspiration on what direction to go in. The same goes for a nice curtain!! So tell me, what are your thoughts on a nice statement area rug!? Next up are the walls! I will share a full room reveal once I get it together!! Thank you as always for stopping by the blog!!
