Vintage Dreams

February 1, 2016 By Ruthie Ridley 37 Comments

Well, I am happy to say that I have made it through the weekend without Ben! Everyone is alive and well!!  If you saw my previous post you know that we went ice skating together as a family Friday night before he left.  This was the first time we skated indoor and the first time that everyone was able to hold their own for the most part. Both Savannah (5) and Judah (nearly 4), skated around with the help of some buckets.  Ava (6) was a champ skating around like a pro, taking a fall here and there.  Ben might as well have been an Olympic medalist!  For not really looking forward to this little outing (due to being cold and thinking I was going to be falling the entire time), I enjoyed myself and didn’t fall once! We had a blast!! Saturday and Sunday were spent relaxing and hanging out with some really good friends in San Fran.  Needless to say, the kids and I have kept quite busy! I will keep you posted on my solo parenting over the next 8 days!

Another way I am staying busy is this blog! Love connecting with you all and sharing this space to create! I chose this dress from Dainty Jewells for a few reasons.  1) It has this vintage, timeless vibe.  2) I absolutely love the color and print 3) The cut of this dress is flattering for just about anyone!  Have you heard about Dainty Jewells before?  Here is a bit of the back story to this clothing line:

“Dainty Jewell’s originally began as a creative outlet for sixteen year old Charity Jewell. As a young woman intent on living a godly life, she desired to dress not only modestly but in a way that was classy and fashionable. Charity eventually began designing items to sell to other women with similar values and beliefs. She first began by simply up-cycling tops, skirts, and dresses by adding embellishments; these bows, ruffles, and attention to dainty details on these garments was the start of a signature line that continues to the present in all of Dainty Jewell’s original designs. Throughout the last few years, Dainty Jewell’s has expanded not only as a modest clothing company but as a ministry for women all across the world who desire to present themselves as intentional ladies”.

Isn’t that amazing?! I love a dress or a clothing line with a mission! Putting purpose to fashion is so powerful and effective.  This dress is one of 100’s of pieces in their shop!  Check them all out here.   I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Praying you all have an amazing week ahead! Much love,

Ruthie xo

I would like to show thanks to you just for rescuing me from this particular matter. Just after checking throughout the the web and getting notions that were not powerful, I figured my life was done. Living without the approaches to the problems you have sorted out as a result of your guideline is a critical case, as well as ones that would have badly affected my career if I hadn’t noticed your web blog. Your main natural talent and kindness in controlling all the details was invaluable. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t come upon such a solution like this. It’s possible to now relish my future. Thanks very much for this specialized and amazing help. I will not think twice to recommend your site to any person who would need assistance about this topic.
