2015 Round up & Reflections

December 16, 2015 By Ruthie Ridley 12 Comments

When they say time flies when you are having fun, it is the absolute truth.  I feel like I blinked and the year was over & I truly can say that I had a good year.  If someone were to ask me what was the biggest thing I learned in 2015 it would be that I learned to love myself more and embrace everything that I am. I grew in the area of confidence and .  I have found that people can tell you that you are amazing 1 million times over, but if you don’t believe that, those words don’t mean a thing.  I went from relying on the praises of man to relying on the confidence of what God said I was and speaking it out loud until I began to believe it.  I am still working on this, but I have come a mighty long way.

I branched out into blogging again this year after having two blogs that were not successful.  I remember saying to the Lord that I didn’t want to start something that I couldn’t finish, something that would fail.  I had major fear of failure. I stepped out and have been graced with favor I could never have foreseen.  There were major moments of discouragement and lack of drive along the way, but I pushed through.  I remember setting a goal of blogging every single week for the entire year and that is what kept me going.

Over the course of the year I have had the privilege of working with 15 different brands/boutiques/labels.  I have developed lasting partnerships that truly cannot be bought and I have met some of the most incredible people along the way.  I feel like God has really done exceedingly, abundantly above all that I could ask think or imagine (eph.3:20,21).  I am believing that this is just the beginning! I am full of expectation and excitement for 2016.

Below I have comprised a compilation from my favorite posts of 2015.  I want to say a very special thank you to everyone who has faithfully read my blog and cheered me on along the way.  Blogging/fashion is my creative outlet and I am so grateful to be able to share this part of my life with you.  Thank you for reading! Much love,

Ruthie xo

Just stopping your scroll this evening to say GOD Just stopping your scroll this evening to say GOD IS GREAT. There are seasons where God takes years and decades to answer prayers (and I’m still waiting for some of those) and then there’s the moments where God answers your prayers hours or a day later. The way she spoke about healing, freedom, and using your own story to create change was both powerful and deeply moving. Her journey is a reminder that what we walk through doesn’t have to define us — but it can shape the way we serve others.
