Never in a million years did I think I would make it this long. I started Ruthie Ridley Blog in January of 2015. My only prayer was that if I started, I wouldn’t stop. I had 2 failed attempts prior. I lacked clear direction, confidence and knowledge. I was determined on this third try to not only get started but to succeed.
This has been one of the most rewarding, exciting, fulfilling journeys I have ever been on. I have always loved fashion, taking pictures with my family and adding in a little humor in all circumstances. This platform has allowed me to express myself in all of these ways. I have stretched myself out of my comfort zone each time looking back wishing I had done so sooner. Creativity is at the heart of what I do and is something I am always striving to be better at.
Over the years I have been so blessed to work with some of the most talented photographers and videographers that have helped me bring so many creative ideas to life. The best imagery captured has been the unplanned locations, hikes in the hoods, hidden gems and fun spots found along the way. A part of the journey has also been becoming more and more comfortable in my skin. This is still process and I am learning as I go. I feel like I have just touched the surface with content creation and cannot wait to get better and better in this area! Content creation is my favorite part of what I do!
This past year I have been able to partner with some of the most amazing brands. I am honored to know that they find my content worthy to be attached to their names. From long time partners like The Home Depot (circa 2016) to new partners like Olay and JCPenny, this year has been full of adventure and undreamt dreams come true! I am in awe of God’s hand all over this little creative space of mine!
I want to say a special thanks to all of you for hanging out with you over the years. If it were not for all of you I would not be able to do what I love! I am anticipating that 2020 will be one for the books! I am so excited to take you all along for the ride! In honor of celebrating 5 years I wanted to take y’all through memory lane.
