So tell me the truth, are you ready for the holiday season or still not fully prepped? In full transparency, I am not ready so that’s making me not look forward to the craziness. Don’t get me wrong, I love having my family all together and celebrating with old traditions and making some new ones too. It really is the best. But, all the prep with baking cookies, going to all the parties, having the best holiday looks and getting all the right gifts for the kiddos is a lot! The best way to do it all, is to get organized and have tools to help me get ready so the holidays are enjoyable.

Ruthie Ridley Blog 4 Tips To Tackle The Holiday Season

Here are four tips that are helping me easily tackle the holiday season like a PRO! These help me have the confidence to get ready for the holidays and better yet, enjoy the season.

 1) Plan ahead to avoid over-spending.  Not only do you need to have a plan for the season (gift limit, party initiatives, etc.), but you need to make every effort to stick with your plans in order to avoid major regret in January. Keep track of your holiday budget on your smartphone, so you have it with you no matter where you’re shopping.

2) Get a reliable and affordable phone plan that can keep you connected to family and friends during the holidays. With the Unlimited Family Plan from Total Wireless, staying connected during the holidays has never been as simple or affordable. For $25 per line (for four lines), you can get unlimited talk, text and data* for everyone. This way you have everything you need to stay in touch all season long, and beyond!

3) Make lists. All kinds of lists, especially for people you need to buy for and what you want to buy for each person. And again, stick to it!!

4) Do the majority of your shopping online to avoid the temptations in the store and the chaos of holiday crowds! You know how it goes – you walk into the store and EVERYTHING IS SO CUTE! Before you know it, all of those $2.00 knick-knacks add up and you’ve spent $600!

Let’s talk more about a reliable phone plan. Did you know that Total Wireless’s coverage is on America’s largest, most dependable 4G LTE† network (you know, the one with big red coverage map!)? With a reliable phone plan you can accomplish all your holiday duties that I mentioned above – from shopping to booking travel – from the palm of your hand. I mention planning a lot in this post, and the nice part is that you can use your smartphone as a planner to keep track of all your holiday lists.

Yes, the holidays can be stressful. I try to do as much online. Funny, I went to the the stores on Black friday and they were essentially empty! More and more people are shopping from the comfort of their own homes

ISo much like you, I am not really ready for the holidays, despite being excited about all the family reunion and the fun. I just ordered groceries and gifts from Walmart online, I would get crazy if I have to go shopping myself.

I love the shopping online tip. I made the mistake of stepping into the mall last year 1-2 days before Christmas (I know it was a mistake!) and I will never do that again!
