Let me tell you something! When people say Disney makes dreams come true, you better believe it cause this entire trip was an absolute dream come true!!
Earlier this year, my family and I were invited by the Walt Disney Company to go out to Walt Disney World for a “creators trip”. Keep in mind, I hadn’t been to Walt Disney World since I was little and the kids had never been. So, obviously, we packed the whole crew up and flew out to Florida for a trip that we will never forget!
Day 1
The first day we arrived was Hollywood Studios Day!! We woke up bright and early, had some of the most delicious food and rode the most amazing rides. To no surprise, Rise of the Resistance was an immediate favorite. We absolutely love that ride! We also went on Aerosmith’s Rockin’ Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror and Mickey’s Runaway Railway, which they do not have in Disneyland. It was so amazing getting to experience new rides and to see just how insanely different it is from Disneyland!
We also got to experience their Genie+ and Lightning Lane system. To give a quick rundown, Genie+ is an additional tool that you can purchase on the My Disney Experience app for $15 a day per person and, honestly, it definitely made for a smoother day with much less waiting around. After purchasing Genie+, you can make a reservation for an attraction of your choice starting as early as 7AM. You can only make one reservation at a time so I definitely suggest grabbing one for the most popular ride first thing in the morning! At your reserved time slot, you’ll enter the ride through the Lightning Lane. Once you’ve ridden the ride, you can make your next reservation for another ride of your choosing. It’s as easy as that.
The reservations also include things like entertainment, character greetings, etc. However, unless you’re a park hopper, you can only make reservations for rides that are in the park you are in for that specific day. All in all, it was such a great day and I would say that the Genie+ definitely made things more enjoyable and much smoother.
We ended the evening in Disney Springs enjoying the insane amount of shops they have (no joke, Downtown Disney in Disneyland is tiny in comparison) and eating some of the most delicious food I’ve had in a long time! We’re talking five star, high quality meals that aren’t even as pricey as you would think!! I don’t know how they have such incredible dining, but they do and I’m not mad at it!
Day 2
The next day we got to experience both Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. We had a special Magic Morning where we got to have fun in Magic Kingdom before it opened by taking some videos in front of the castle that you might’ve already seen on my IG. I did not realize how massive Disney World’s castle is!! I swear everything in Disney World is 10 times the size of Disneyland. After all, the whole park is about the size of San Francisco! Can you believe that?!
After hanging around Magic Kingdom for a bit, we hopped over to Animal Kingdom and this park absolutely STOLE my heart!! It’s so different to all the other parks and, with all the animals, I was having the time of my life!! I couldn’t believe the Kilimanjaro Safari!! It felt like I was actually in Africa. Absolutely blew my mind!!
As dinner came around, TikTok had set up a buffet style, African-inspired dinner right in the middle of the Harambe Market in the park for all the creators. It was so special to get to taste so many diverse cuisines with some of the most amazing people. The kids immediately bonded with all the other kids there. It was so fun to watch them experience all this together.
We then ended the day with an after hours experience in Pandora. This part of the park was absolutely out of this world!! At night, the entire place is bioluminescent and glows in the dark!! Like, HOW?! And the two rides there were amongst some of the best I’ve ever ridden. Flight of Passage was an absolute trip and one you have to go on if you visit and the Navi’i River Ride was so scenic and totally emerged you into the Pandora universe! It was the perfect way to end the night!
Day 3
The last day was EPCOT!! This park was also like no other I’ve experienced! Getting to travel the world all in one place was insane! We started the morning in the French Pavilion with breakfast by the water. Of course, the french cuisine was to die for!! Especially those macarons! They’re currently having their Flower & Garden Festival so everything was so bright and colorful. They had the most gorgeous flower displays in the shape of Disney characters and even had a cute little butterfly house! We also got to go on the new Ratatouille ride. It was absolutely adorable and a definite favorite.
After exploring during the day, we ended the night with dessert by the water as we watched their new water spectacular, Harmonious. If you know of Disneyland’s World of Color, it’s like that expect, like most thing in Disney World, 10 times bigger!! It was absolutely beautiful!
The absolute BEST part of the day though, was the very last thing we did. We got to have a sneak peak of the upcoming, brand new Guardian’s of the Galaxy ride!! Getting to be one of the first guests to walk through that line queue was such an honor and an absolutely once in a lifetime experience!! I can’t wait for it to open!!
I feel so blessed to be able to go on insane trips like this and even more blessed that I get to share them with all of you!! I’m always blown away at what God has done in our lives and all the experiences we’ve had as a family that truly are once in a lifetime. Huge thanks to Disney for having us and making my family’s dreams come true!!
