Day one in the books! What a day to remember! Kachet, Mae and myself flew in from SFO on a red eye flight to JFK via Alaska Airlines! We landed, snagged a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and hit the ground running! Our first meeting was at Now and Zen PR agency. I have been working with them over the past few months so it was so nice to actually meet everyone in person. In addition to meeting the girls, we got to do a bit of shopping from the brands they represent and have some drinks and bites! It was the perfect way to start the day (1/2 awake and all)! After that it was lunch time, we walked around the corner grabbed salads and geared up for our next stop!
We headed over to the Nolcha shows to get a first hand look at designers from all over the country and all over the world. From bags, to shoes, leather and jewelry it was all incredible. It is a joy for me to meet designers and hear the inspiration behind their work! It was an honor to meet these people and chat with them for a while in person and not just behind a computer screen!
After the Nolcha Shows we had some down town which we were super thankful for. We headed back to our hotel which finally had our room available for check in! We put our bags down, changed and went to the restaurant here at Yotel to unwind, upload photos and relax. After we got to chill for a bit we headed to our final event/show for the day AFFFAIR. The room was packed, the energy was high and people were dressed to impressed! The show was INCREDIBLE. As you can see from the photos above the details were beyond stunning. I want to wear every single piece!!

Day 2 was Non-stop! I mean non-stop! I was a bit nervous because my seating assignment never came through for both the Jasmine show and the Academy of Art show! Craziest part was I ended up front row for both. In fact I was front row for all 3 shows. There is something really incredible about being so up close and personal for these shows. You get to see every detail of every piece, see the models first hand and be fully a part of the runway experience!
I was in SHOCK when Paris Hilton walked in. It was just super unexpected. She walked passed me while I was seated in the front row and I initially had no idea who she was! She got down to the end of the runway and there was tons of paparazzi taking pics. Shortly after everyone confirmed it was her! Such a fun experience!
The day was very long. We had 3 shows kind of back to back which meant we were basically dehydrated and hungry all day! We waited in lines longer than the shows actually lasted, often times in the rain, but it was worth it y’all! I am sick right now btw probably because of all of the above, but still totally worth it!
This trip was completely possible thanks to Alaska Airlines. We took a very convienient direct flight from SFO to JFK! The red eye we chose was the perfect option. We flew first class which was such a fun and comfortable option! A few simple things I love about Alaska Airlines:
- Upgrading your seat is super easy and does not break the bank.
- They offer so many #mostwestcoast flights that make flying around the country and simply around California easy and seamless!
- Inflight experience is second to none. The flight staff is always super friendly and accommodating, there are free movies, free texting and internet options for everyone while in flight. There are always fresh food options, places to charge all your devices
- Fares are low and affordable!
Never flown Alaska before? I highly recommend checking out all of their flight options here!
Thank you as always for stopping by the blog! Part two will go live early next week!

Fantastic blog! I dont think Ive seen all the angles of this subject the way youve pointed them out. Youre a true star, a rock star man. Youve got so much to say and have a lot of knowledge about the subject that I think you should just teach a class about it…HaHa!
You really make it seem really easy together with your presentation however I find this matter to be really one thing which I think I might by no means understand. It seems too complicated and extremely wide for me. I’m having a look forward to your next submit, I will attempt to get the grasp of it!

I do enjoy the manner in which you have framed this specific issue and it really does provide me a lot of fodder for consideration. However, from just what I have seen, I just trust as other feedback pack on that individuals keep on point and in no way embark on a tirade of some other news of the day. Anyway, thank you for this outstanding point and even though I do not agree with it in totality, I value the viewpoint.
This was absolutely the thing I was hoping to find!
