I have spent a good part of my adult life trying to attain some level of perfection. Whether that be physically or with my various business ventures- I have always wanted things to look and seem perfect to others. As I enter another year and prepare to turn 35 I finally realize that there is so much beauty in the mess and imperfection- that vulnerability in the not so perfect states brings liberty to others and freedom to myself.
As we prepare to enter 2019 I want to encourage you to be all that you are and be more open about the not-so perfect parts of yourself. Allow your imperfections to be shown and realize that what you see, others do not. Your life can be a sign of God’s grace and mercy to others. Here are a few quotes I have read lately that have been inspiring me in this area:

“Realize that what you see, others do not.” wow, when i tell you i needed to read that today! you’re so right, we need to accept our imperfections; as i get older, it’s something i’m (slowly) learning.
This is such a powerful post! Too many of us waste our time and energy trying to meet some imagined goal or proving ourselves when we need to just understand how awesome we are.

I agree that one must be oneself. Many times people try to achieve perfection to please others. In fact one person’s idea of perfection could well be another’s quirk.
