This past Saturday Ben and I had the privilege of attending the Diner En Blanc Sacramento with Niello Land Rover of Sacramento.  This was definitely an experience to remember.  Truth be told, I had no idea what to expect! I had never heard of this event and didn’t have any gauge for what it would be like!!  I was on the edge of my seat the entire night!  Before I get into what we wore, let me share with you a bit about what Diner En Blanc is all about!

What Is Diner En Blanc?

Diner En Blanc is a worldwide event, (takes place on 6 continents) where people flash-gather in a public outdoor space and set up a temporary, chic dining area. Guests come dressed in white and are required to provide their own food, tables, chairs and tablecloths…. picture  “a Parisian-style, community pop-up picnic.” Only a select number of participants who have signed up in advance are made aware of the location the day of the dinner.  These events are usually held in an iconic city location. The Dîner en Blanc concept began in Paris in 1988.  The event has grown to over 70 cities, with reportedly almost 15,000 gathered at the 25th-anniversary event in Paris!!!

Diner En Blanc Sacramento:

This year was the second annual Diner En Blanc here in Sacramento! Last year was held at the Golden 1 Center where we have all of our Sacramento Kings Games. Nearly 1000 guests gathered.  This year almost 1,700 people attended the second local installment on  Oct. 7 outside of the Memorial Auditorium at 1515 J St. Tickets cost 37.00 per person plus an annual 9.00 fee.  As I had mentioned earlier, Ben and I were sponsored by Niello cars and Land Rover USA.  We had a table all set up for us with bites, wine, spritzers and then a full catered meal.  Niello / Landrover Sacramento were sponsors for the event so we had a table set up in front of the entertainment! To be here in this capacity was truly an honor!! Our good friend Daniel is the  General Manager for Niello in Sacramento.  He was so kind to put us on his guest list to attend and have our meal, table and drinks sponsored.  I wish I had more photos to share with you all! In my opinion this was the event of the year!!  I will be back in 2018!!

What We Wore:

As you can see the dress code is all white! Ben and I went shopping separately! I bought my dress online here.  I love the ruffles and the material so much!! Also, wrap dresses are just so flattering it was an immediate yes for me!  My boots I had for a while because white boots are so in this season!! You can grab them here. My good friend Katie gave me this book bag! I am in love with it!! I will link one similar below!! Ben got his entire outfit at H&M.  He went with the kids and picked it out! I got dressing room snaps and made the final approval!! I think our looks came together quite well, seeing as we put it together in one week!!   You can shop our looks below!!
