Weekend Getaway To Truckee CA With VRBO: we decided to getaway for one last hurrah before the kids head back to school in a few weeks! VRBO was the perfect option for us! We had the best time and the process to book was simple and easy! Not to mention, they are available to help 24/7.

One of my favorite things to do is get away with my family! We love to travel! I am fortunate to be married to someone who is always up for an adventure no matter what! When we can, we skip town as often as possible. We both work a ton, so we love to get away and hit the reset button. A lot has changed this year with Ben being in the police academy.  Time away altogether is now few and far between so when we can get away for a quick trip we take advantage of that! A lot of our ability to get away with Ben depends on his exams etc.  This week he had an exam on Thursday so leaving on Friday was perfect. We decided to do a quick weekend trip this past weekend before the kids go back to school on the 4th!

We go to Lake Tahoe a lot! Often times we stay in hotels and occasionally do small cabins! This time we decided to try somewhere new! We booked a nice cabin with VRBO in Truckee California! It had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and slept 6 people.  Super roomy and cozy.  Nicest place we have stayed as a family by far! We have never been to Truckee so we were looking forward to our stay! It is a small town with lots of forest, the river and nice places to eat! As you can see we went white water rafting which was a blast and a little scary as well! Glad we did it though!

One thing I love about VRBO is their 24/7 service and the ease of communication! I was able to call the day before and make sure we were all set! Truth be told, Ben usually plans all of our trips! This was the first trip I planned on my own and I was super nervous, so I was triple checking everything. They also communicate via text message which I love.  We got to our VRBO and everything was all set  and beyond perfect.  We arrived, put the code in that was provided to us to get in and I took a deep breath.  Relaxation mode in full affect!  If you have never booked with VRBO in the past, I suggest you give it a try!     The matching jammies are so adorbs. I live in the Bay Area, so I totally know where you are. Even though I’ve only been to Truckee in the winter, it’s such a cute place. Need to visit again in the summer.

    I’ve used VRBO a few times and have always had such a positive experience! They have amazing communication. The rental you stayed at looks amazing!

    What a nice getaway and I could spot deers! Unbeliveable and it won’t happen in where I live. No such luck. I love how guys dress up in the same theme yellow stripes clothes. Really a great team and look so much fun playing in that big house.

    My hubby and I have stayed in Truckee numerous times! It’s so easy to get to Lake Tahoe and there are some gorgeous cabins. I’ve never booked with VRBO but I have on their sister site.
