Beloved

I recently stumbled across this quote and it hit me so hard. ” And if I asked you to name all the things that you love, how long would it take you to name yourself?” In all honesty, I wouldn’t even think to name my self. It just wouldn’t happen.I think as individuals it can be extremely difficult to think about all the wonderful things that we are and have to offer. Instead we tend to focus on the things that we are not and areas in which we are lacking.

 When I received this top in the mail from Shop Hello Grace I fell in love with it…the cut, the style, the lettering, everything. Then I paused and thought, what does “Beloved” actually mean?

 Beloved means:

darling, dear, dearest, precious, adored, much loved, cherished, treasured, prized, highly regarded, admired, esteemed, worshiped, revered, venerated, idolized.

WOW. I love that definition. It makes the word that much more beautiful. Beloved. SO where am I going with this. We are someone’s beloved. Whether your spouse, your mom, you sister your child, or God. You are someone’s beloved. To know and to realize that you are precious, adored, loved, cherished, highly regarded, esteemed and admired would make one think why? Think about all the reasons that you are loved by another and turn those reasons into your reasons of why you should love your self. When we can love who we are, we have much more to add to this world, through our confidence and self assurance of the gifts and talents we have been given as human beings.
