Guys, we are really getting into the holiday spirit over here at the Ridley Retreat! As you’ve probably seen on my Instagram, we (really Ben) has been busy with home projects…painting, redoing our fireplace and laying some fun tile in the bathroom and entryway! Thank God for him. We’re having a blast updating our 1970s home and making it our own! Now that we have a space we’re really proud of, all I want to do is host, host, HOST! Every single year I purchase a staple coat that’s different—not your typical—just something that doesn’t look like everything else that’s out there. I also love having an option I can dress up! Different coats go with different seasons and different years, right?! Last year I got one from J.Crew…so classic. This year I was feeling plaid! Plaid has such a timeless wintery vibe. I have a very similar coat, but on a more gray tone. I love it, I wore it a lot last year. At the moment it is too cold for it, but I am sure it will come out of my closet again at the beginning of spring.
I have always been a fan of plaid but it’s been a while since I had a plaid coat. This one is very cool — I may have to revisit this trend!
