Hey y’all! I feel like I have been traveling A LOT, especially after last year’s lock down! Not going to lie, it has been FUN! Interestingly enough, I have been going to Florida! Our first trip, which you can find here, was to Naples and Tampa. This past week, I was in 30A, which is an actual road in South Walton County that spans around 20 miles along the Florida Panhandle coastline. It’s between Destin and Panama City!
I spent last Sunday through Thursday in this beautiful area and, I must say, I have to go back! The area is family friendly, full of activities, Florida sunshine and good food! Below I am sharing what you can do, where you can go, and where you should eat in 30A! In addition, I am including all of the looks I wore while I was there. This area feels like Greece! So picturesque!!!!
Where To Stay
A bunch of the girls and I found this absolutely stunning rental in Seacrest Beach called Greenway Loop. It was perfectly located and was more than big enough to fit me and my friends. There were so many rooms to choose from and each was more beautiful than the next. The views were to die for and the location was close enough to where you could walk to shops, grab a bite to eat, or rent a bike if you wanted to go for a quaint bike ride down the beachside.
Where To Eat
Havana Beach Bar & Grill At The Pearl Hotel: This is at the absolute TOP of my list!! This place was a dream. It’s beautifully located in Rosemary Beach and has the most delicious, fresh, and fancy food you will ever eat. They even have rooftop dining where you can watch the sunset over the beach!! I can’t even explain how beautiful this place is. I can’t believe I had never heard of it until now, but it is a must for me now!
La Crema: Tapas, chocolate, and wine… do I need to say more? I’m not talking about simple, every-day tapas or pieces of chocolate. This place has the most elaborate dishes and deserts that are absolutely amazing!! Also, if you’re a big wine person you will love it here!!
George’s At Alys Beach: This might be the most fresh-tasting food I’ve ever had. Everything looks so green and colorful. It truly is a spectacle for the eyes and the tastebuds. Plus, the atmosphere here is so relaxing.
Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant: This place screams community. Not only is it a gorgeous restaurant, but they have rooftop dining, a taco bar, AND a pizza bar!! It is the definition of “something for everyone”.
LaCo: Usually food is the main reason I love a restaurant, and as that is true here, I’m obsessed with the feel of this place. The environment just makes you feel like you’re in a whole other world. Such a fun time!!
The Perfect Pig: From what I know, this seems like a classic local hotspot. If you’re a fan of southern food, but make it elevated, you will LOVE this place. It sounds like a simple BBQ joint, but the food here is so intricate.
Café Thirty-A: This place might have some of the best seafood I’ve ever had and some dishes I’ve never even heard of. It’s definitely quite the fancy place so I recommend getting reservations a couple weeks ahead of time. Worth it though!!
Five Daughters Bakery: Let’s talk sweet treats! This place is so adorable and girly!! It was an absolute sweet dream full of delicious donuts and pastries. I would eat there every morning if I could!!
Frost Bites: This is the perfect seaside treat as you’re walking along the beach during the heat of the day. They have the best Hawaiian ice, frozen custard, and FRESH-SQUEEZED lemonade!! Is there anything better on a hot day at the beach?
What To Do
As I’m sure you can guess we spent most of our time shopping around and enjoying the beautiful beach. So, here’s a list of all the best beaches to visit and some of our favorite shops we went to.
Genuinely you can’t go wrong by checking out any of the following beaches: Dune Allen, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Seaside, Seagrove, Rosemary Beach, and Inlet Beach. Each beach truly has their own feel and environment.
Watercolor: I have to highlight Watercolor because, genuinely, if you can only go to one place while you’re in 30A, GO HERE!! It’s a whole area filled with shopping centers, spas, water sports, restaurants, and even fun places to hike and go fishing!!
The 30A Store: If you like to go “full tourist”, 30A has their own little tourist shops that we shopped at and they have some of the cutest souvenirs and clothes. I appreciate that they actually carry items that give you a sweet memory of your trip and are very wearable and usable. Plus, their clothes are made from recycled materials!
Getting away with these ladies was such an incredible refresher!! The location was beyond gorgeous and the food absolutely delicious, but I feel like trips are so amazing because of the people you spend it with. These ladies are all such joys and carry such beautiful light for the Lord. I could not have asked for a better group to spend time away with.
