Tie-dye Maxi + “Soul Food” Part 2

Tie-dye Maxi + “Soul Food” Part 2

Two weeks ago I did a re-cap of a podcast I have been listening to all month by Havilah Cunnington called ” Soul Food.”  This week I am breaking down a few highlights from the rest of the study.  I am literally sad that this 20 day study is over for me!! The podcasts are never more than 7-8 minutes and are always PACKED with so much truth and encouragement.  You can check out my recap from a few weeks ago here.  It is not too late to join the study either and it is free!!! Check it out here. I will be attempting to continue my goal this year for listening to at least one podCast per week! I am not sure what is next! I will keep you posted 🙂

Soul food Part 2: (Recap) Words by Havilah Cunnington

Day 11: LEAVING TO BECOME

Your value never changes, but your effectiveness does. Once you know your value and understand that it can never, ever change, you begin to become more effective. It’s impossible to hang out with someone consistently without becoming like them. So hang out with God more! We are created to become what we behold.

Day 12:  ROOM TO EAT

Your beliefs about who you are affect your ability to get to the spacious place and the table of God. The enemy would love to stop you moving forward and keep you from growing, emerging, becoming.  “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost… Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live.”

Day 13: FLOWING

We find ourselves malnourished because we don’t understand the needs of our soul and how to feed them. Our soul can keep us from living in our Promised Land.
When we choose to align our thoughts with Christ and eat from His table, everything begins to flow and we become a place of abundance.

Day 14: TASTE OF FREEDOM

My soul needs to be reminded of what’s on offer; what He can do for me, be for me, and provide for me. Connecting to Him is my source of soul food.

Day 15: HUNGER FOR MORE

God didn’t just want to give His people a Promised Land, He wanted to make them His people of promise. That meant He wanted them to stop grumbling about the lack of automatic provision and to grow up and into a people who faced and overcame challenges. What He looks for is that you remember who He is and what He has done and then use that knowledge and remembrance to respond to Him calling you forward into maturity and into your Promised Land.

Day 16: ABUNDANT LIFE & PROVISION

Once we know we are loved and we belong, we start to become. After we become, we have a deep hunger to bless. When we hang out with a miracle working God, we start to see those who need a miracle and we find we have a deep hunger to reach others.

Day 17: BRING WHAT YOU HAVE

God asks you what’s in your hands. Whatever you have, bring it to Him and see Him multiply it so that you can do extraordinary things!

Day 18: HUMAN RESOURCES ARE NOT ENOUGH

It’s not those who have it together or come with full hands that Jesus uses. It’s those that are willing to bring what they have to Him.

Day 19: STEWARD WHAT YOU HAVE

As we know with the parable of the talents, God loves it when we steward what He gives us. It leads to an increase and to upgrades in our relationship with Him.

Day 20: ORDINARY  PEOPLE CALLED TO DO THE EXTRAORDINARY

The moment we give Jesus our lives and all that we are, He is ready to perform the miracle in us and through us that He’s been waiting to perform.

“Once you have found the joy of being in God’s presence and being overwhelmed by His love, you are enabled to share His miraculous power with everyone you meet. God is longing to release His miracle working power through you.” – Katherine Ruonala

"Jewry's most salient and essential characteristic is racism. That's the secret of Jewish success. That's what's really unique about them."Yes. Their own expertise in bigotry is why jews are A) so hypersensitive to it and B) instinctively swarm and attack any sign of it in those they regard as enemies.
