Thanksgiving Weekend + Family Getaway Re-cap

Thanksgiving Weekend + Family Getaway Re-cap

Happy Tuesday everyone! It feels like my Monday because we just got home from a quick getaway! I’m sharing a quick recap of the past few days because so much goodness has happened, I can’t not!

First up is our Thanksgiving table. I had shared with you all that I was hosting 15 this year! We had 15 people at our table and it was such a special time. A dear friend from church came over the night before with all of her amazing goodies and help me set my table! These photos do not do this table justice. I was overwhelmed with how stunning it came out. I just kept saying “Oh My Gosh!!”  You can find more of her beautiful work here

Over the past more recent years Ben and I have been trying to get our tree the day after Thanksgiving! There’s nothing like extending the season as long as possible! This year, however we are very happy to say we found a tree farm that is reasonably priced as well as, has amazing trees. We went to Levi’s farm in Applehill! A variety of trees, and and all trees cost $65. It took us about an hour to find the perfect one!!

Our 4th annual Thanksgiving with the Vivian’s! Ben has known Tony since he was 10!

Family and friends

Ben’s first cousin Carys was here from the U.K. With her husband Tim for Thanksgiving! They’re in school up in Redding at Bethel. Such a treat!!!

“Away” Suitcase

Ben and I both had to work on Saturday, but on Sunday we packed up and headed up to Redding California for a quick trip! This bag is from a company called “Away” it can easily fit everything for the whole family! It is scratch resistant, weighs less than 10 pounds (this is the large), is unbreakable and my favorite part is the USB chargers and the multiple compartments!! I’m very sold on this luggage!

We had been planning this trip to Redding for a couple months now! I had booked a session with one of my favorite photographers of all time! We made a weekend of it and went to one of our favorite churches, ate at some highly recommended food spots, stayed at a cozy Airbnb, and got to the snow! It was a pretty amazing trip!

That was our past few days in a nutshell! This was a very exciting time for the kiddos! We weren’t as prepared as we could have been for the snow so the kids froze!! We will head up to Tahoe for snow for Judah’s birthday! They can’t wait!! Thank you as always for stopping by the blog!!

Much love,

I was at a club last night and a cute woman grabbed my butt. I was totally caught off guard! I felt flattered, but violated at the same time!Anyway, if it was the other way around, I would’ve gotten slapped, dragged out of the club, and probably be arrested! Why the double standard?
