Striped | How to prepare for Thanksgiving now

Thanksgiving is 15 days away! If you are anything like me, doing as much as I can before any event, party, meeting  ahead of time, decreases my anxiety significantly! Because I am hosting more than usual this year, I really need to be on top of my game.  Here are 5 ways you can get ready for Thanksgiving now:

Finalize your guest list: Get a yes or no from people now if you can! I have 3 guests on the fence right now due to work schedules not being posted yet.  Things like this are beyond our control!
Plan your menu: Luckily my father-in-law loves this stuff! He loves to plan a menu, cook and bake.  If I am going to be completely honest, I wont have to do much cooking on or before Thanksgiving! Praise Jesus! Our menu has been finalized and everyone knows what they are bringing at this point.
•Create a shopping list: Write out a shopping list as you go.  By the time it is time to do the big shop you will be ready to hit the store with your list in hand.  It will leave the questioning and over-buying out of the question!
•Order your turkey & Start ordering your drinks: In this case we have delegated.  We have asked one guest to bring the Turkey and my brother will be bringing all of the drinks.  Now is the time to figure out what size turkey you need and then order it 🙂
•Start cleaning out the fridge, freezer and other areas of the house that have gathered clutter that guests will see: We all know that the freezer and fridge will be packed out on and after Thanksgiving.  Start decluttering the fridge and the freezer in preparation for all the food, now!!
