Mother’s Day is fiercely approaching! Instead of doing a gift guide for you all this year, I thought I would share the one thing that I learned from my mom! Everyone that has met my mom once can agree with what I am about to say about her! She is one of the sweetest human beings you will ever meet.  I don’t think I have met anyone more loving, forgiving or gentle in my entire life.  I am a little more wild and rough around the edges but I hope to take on this beauty of a person my mom is as time goes on.  The one thing I learned from my mom is compassion.  Before I get into her let me share the definition of compassion… it is ‘sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.’ She is the definition of compassion. I even love this scripture that talks about the compassion of Jesus: “But when he saw the crowds, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.” Matt 9:36 My mom is beyond compassionate. If you are sick, she feels sick and will pray you to health. If you are broke, she will go broke with you giving you her last dime.  You all get the idea.  Because of her compassion she gives without restraint.  In every way.  Emotionally, physically, spiritually, financially.  She is a giver.  Compassion is the thread of her life.  It runs through her veins and it is what almost every decision is filtered from with her.  I can only pray that I can be more like her…. She is beautiful in everyday! So tell me, what is the one thing you have learned from your mom growing up??! I would love to hear! As this is my last post for the week, I would like to wish all the moms out there, a very Happy Mother’s Day!!

My mom exhibits a heart of love, strength & faithfulness. She’s constant in ALL of what she exudes. I have inherited my mom’s qualities and inward beauty from within. I’m so proud to be my mom’s daughter in every way, she is my white rose!

What a lovely shout out to your mom! My mom and I don’t have the best relationship, so the thing I learned from her is to not be like her.

SOOOO Beautiful!!! I am in love your momma already. Compassionate people just make my heart melt.. so inspiring!!! I have learned so many from my mother too, but number one would have to be sacrificial. She serves and serves anyone and everyone constantly. It’s not a struggle for her. Anywho, I love the dress and your accessories!! Happy Mother’s Day!!!

Happy Mother’s Day to you and your mom! You look beautiful and the print on the dress is really cute. Compassion and empathy are definitely lacking in our world today, so I wish more parents would instill those values in their kids. -erin

Your mom sounds like the most inspiring woman! I guess from my mom I learned that we should all give back. Growing up, she volunteered for everything at church and has such a servants heart. I love that about her!
