5 goals I plan to crush in 2017:
Read one book a month: I have probably set this goal every year for the past five years! I don’t read enough and I think that I am at a disadvantage because of that. You put good knowledge in and you get good knowledge out. You have something to give. Knowledge is power. I am going to make it more of an appoint this year to read because successful people read and I want to be successful!
One podcast a week: podcasts are a lot like reading. Expanding your horizon, and learning new things, gaining new perspective….growth. I want to grow this year and I want to learn about topics that I haven’t dove into in the past. I want to listen to some of my favorite speakers and learn more about perspective and scripture.
• Unplug once a week (rejuvenate): this has been a long time coming. I have not fully unplugged from social media in a long time and I think that has become detrimental. Unplugging, setting the reset button and refocusing is so important for productivity. I want to be as productive as I can this year and I don’t want to get burnt out. Unplugging is huge when you blog and have to spend so much time in front of a screen.
• Revamp Fitness & Eating:  I remember about 3 to 4 years ago being in probably the best shape of my life! I made it a priority, I was driven, I was motivated, nothing could stop me. I want to get to a realistic place where I’m driven and motivated but I’m not killing myself. I would love to complete a few races this year and mainly get back to eating Paleo. My body responds so well to that kind of eating. More than anything I want to get in routine again including taking classes at the gym and running.
• Save: Ben and I have gotten into the habit of sitting together every year and setting goals. Saving is always at the top of the list for us. We are at the point now where we cannot wait to get into our own home. This is a major goal for us as a couple and a family this year and saving is key.
No onto this look! Starting a New Year fresh with Marks and Spencer! I absolutely love their products! Marks and Spencer is a UK-based company that sells everything from food to clothing. I remember visiting Ben and his family in England and going into the store and loving everything. Velvet is the bees knees right now  as we all know and this velvet dress with this beautiful print is one of my favorites in my closet at the moment! I love the style of the dress with the lace neck detail!! It’s so feminine and girly and makes me happy. Look number two is a dress that I love because it gathers at the side and is super flattering for someone with my shape! I paired this look with these  patent  leather boots that are amazing! I have seriously worn them every day since I received them! So comfy!!! Both the shoes and the bag are from Marks and Spencer as well and I am in love! I think what I love the most about this company is that not only do they have stylish clothing but the quality second to none and the price tag is affordable!! Check out more Marks and Spencer looks for the new year here.

I LOVE that dress and that backpack…is the backpack kate spade or is that marks and spencer too? Was just looking at that the other day at nordstrom rack and drooling over it. Those are great goals- I make the same reading goal every year too…. OK but this year, I actually WILL have finished 2 books before the end of the year. Thanks to my mom- she knows i don’t read a lot and told me about 2 books she knew i wouldn’t be able to put down so i am going to tell you about them too- they are called “behind closed doors” and “the memory box”- they have a psychological thriller, keep you on the edge of your seat vibe. *thegoodthingscomin.wordpress.com

Great goals Ruthie! Saving is on the top of my list as well! Reading a book/month was a goal of mine last year that I failed miserably at, so I definitely want to work on that one again.

This outfit looks absolutely beautiful on you. I completely agree with the idea of setting a few goals, and definitely want to find a better way to organize and streamline my work that that I have better work-life balance. First time as an entrepreneur, and I need to tweak a few things! 🙂

In 2017, I want to spend less time online (get my VA more involved) and also less time on my phone. I think unplugging after a certain time each day is going to be super beneficial! I am loving these bags, so incredibly cute! xx Adaleta Avdic
