Getting the whole family dressed and ready for a photo shoot is quite the escapade! Let me tell you! It is well worth it, however. The kids cooperate way better for others with pictures, as opposed to me taking them. It is probably the one time of year that I get my hubs on the blog as well!! lol
As we wrap up this year as a family, I have nothing but thanks for all that God has done. I feel so incredibly blessed. We are approaching our third year here in California and we finally feel settled. We have always felt at home. Although we don’t have a lot of extended family here, we have been surrounded with friends that are like family. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else at this point.
Here is a little about what we have been up to this year:
Ben continues to play soccer every week with his indoor and outdoor soccer teams. He heads up the security team at our local church, Jesus Culture. He has recently moved from the hospital to another position placing mental health patients in to psychiatric facilities. This has been a major blessing to our family as he only has to work 3 twelve hour shifts per week.
Ava is now 6 years old and half way through the 1st grade. She has just completed her third season of soccer, is reading like a champ and has developed a very unique tom-boy sense of fashion that we all love. Her two front teeth have not come in yet, but she hopes to get them for Christmas :).
Savannah is now 5 and dying to get into kindergarten. We do lot’s of sight words, reading and a bit of math with her at home. She continues to love gymnastics and is thriving in this sport. She is passionate about singing and is quite the actress!
Judah has taken up swimming and has managed to overcome some major fears! He spends most of his days playing with Savannah, running around and making up all kinds of games. He wants to be a cowboy at the moment, as well as batman and superman. We were sure to get him multiple costumes for Christmas!
I continue to work as a nurse case manager and a transfer center RN per diem. I am so grateful for these jobs and the flexibility with my family it has given me. God has provided for us over and over again. He is so faithful. I continue to sing/lead worship at our local church which has been so life-giving and fulfilling. I am so grateful for this church family. The newest and very exciting update is that I have co-founded a blogger community with my good friend Annie. We are so excited for what’s in store for this community in 2016. I’ve never met more incredible women.
As I mentioned before, as I look back at 2015 I am so in awe of God’s faithfulness and goodness to our family. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and am hopeful for what is in store for 2016! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog.
