Cafe Rio Sacramento: Grand Opening

A few weeks ago the family and I got invited to attend the grand opening of Café Rio! This was really exciting especially because we absolutely love  Mexican food (we make a Mexican dish at home at least once a week), we have never been to a Café Rio before and they are acclaimed “#1 Mexican Restaurant in the Nation” from Sandelman & Associates.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fun / colorful atmosphere, the lovely staff and most importantly the incredible food. While there I learned that all of their food is prepared fresh, daily.  There are no microwaves or freezers!! I got a simple salad that was so full of flavor, I couldn’t get enough! Mine had steak and Ben’s had pork! The pork was highly recommended and happens to be one of his favorite meats so he was in heaven! The kids ordered a variety of quesadillas and enchiladas! They loved their meals and ate up every bite!

As you can see the style for ordering your food is assembly line! This was so fun because they would stop during serving and sing! Although it was busy and chaotic with so many people there for the grand opening, they got our entire order correct and there was a lot of us!
I had the opportunity to sit down with one of the staff and learn about the app for Café Rio. The features are endless but my favorite parts are the following: you can earn points toward future purchases with every meal that you order, you can order ahead for pick up & you can put money on a gift card for friend to enjoy their own Café Rio meal! There is also the ability to order catering for a big party which I love! This food is perfect for a party!

    Our Cafe Rio just closed and I have been so sad!! Their food is so delicious! Wishing I could eat one of their burritos right about now!
